Second Annual Forum on Education in Aerosol Science 2022

We are delighted to be holding our second Annual Forum on Education in Aerosol Science on 7th July at Clifton Hill House in Bristol.

The EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Aerosol Science is now in the process of recruiting its fourth cohort of postgraduate researchers (PGRs) to start their training in Bristol in September 2022. They will join our 52 current PGRs who are at different stages of their PhD studies and tackling a range of projects spanning numerous areas and disciplines such as aerosol technology, aerosols and health, and environmental aerosol.

We gather once a year to celebrate and further education in aerosol science, considering both classroom or laboratory teaching and the supervision of doctoral research in this interdisciplinary field.

In terms of teaching, this year’s Annual Forum will focus on using Team-Based Learning (TBL) in the context of aerosol science, and in particular the facilitation of inter-team discussions during TBL, and the meeting of diverse needs in the TBL classroom.  Regarding supervision, we will consider the expectations of supervisees and supervisors during a doctorate in aerosol science.

We look forward to welcoming all academics with an interest in teaching and supervising research in aerosol science.
